Privacy Policy

This explains what Slated collects, why, who else touches it, and how to get rid of it. It covers Slated Flow, Slated Listen, and Slated Study.

What we collect

• Account information — your email address and an encrypted password. If you subscribe, Stripe handles payment and gives us a customer ID and subscription status; we never see your card number.
• What you upload — the documents, slides, images, notes, audio, and video you put into the products, plus everything derived from them: transcripts, extracted text, summaries, study guides, flashcards, quizzes, and your chats with the AI tutor.
• Usage data — basic analytics about which pages load and how the app performs, so we can find bugs and slow spots.

How we use it

To run the Service: to process what you upload into the output you asked for, to keep your work available across sessions, to enforce plan limits, to handle billing, and to email you about your account. That's it.

We don't sell your data, and we don't use your uploaded content or its output to train AI models — ours or anyone else's. We don't read your uploads except where you explicitly ask us for support and we need to reproduce a problem.

Who processes your data

Running the Service means sending some data to specialist providers. Each one gets only what its job requires:

• Supabase — accounts, database, and file storage
• Vercel — hosting, plus performance and usage analytics
• Cloudflare R2 — temporary storage for uploaded video and audio
• OpenAI and Groq — the AI models that transcribe, summarize, and generate your study material. Both provide these through their APIs, which do not train on data sent to them.
• Stripe — subscription payments
• Resend — transactional email, such as workspace invitations

We may also disclose data if the law genuinely requires it, or to investigate abuse or protect someone's safety.

How long we keep things

Your projects and their generated content stay until you delete them or close your account. Some things we delete much sooner by design:

• Video you upload to Slated Study is deleted as soon as it has been transcribed. We keep the transcript, not the recording.
• Documents and images you upload to Slated Study are deleted as soon as their text has been extracted. We keep the extracted text, not the original file.

When you delete a project we remove its content and any remaining files. When you delete your account, everything associated with it goes. Backups may retain copies for a short period before they cycle out.

Your choices

You can view, edit, and delete your projects at any time from within each product, and delete your whole account to remove everything. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to request a copy of your data, correct it, or object to certain processing — email us and we'll help.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, file storage is private and served only through short-lived signed links, and access to production systems is limited. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously and will notify affected users promptly if a breach ever occurs.

Cookies

We use cookies only to keep you signed in and to keep the app working. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Analytics are aggregate and measure performance and page views, not individuals.

Children

The Service isn't intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email us and we'll remove it.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top, and we'll tell you in the app or by email if the change meaningfully affects you.
